Winter Learning Journey - Milo of Kroton

Today, this challenge was to find three facts about Milo of Kroton. 1. He led the people of Croton to a military victory over the neighboring city of Sybaris in 510 BC. 2. He came from the Greek city of Croton in southern Italy. 3. He won many victories in the most important athletic festivals of ancient Greece.

You have found some very interesting information about Milo of Croton. Well done, Jane! He was certainly quite a famous man. In fact, he was one of the most famous Olympians from the ancient era. Sadly, it seems that he died when he was trying to tear a tree in half with his bare hands and got stuck in the crevice of the tree. Rumour has it that he was discovered by a pack of wolves and devoured - yikes.
