Reading Challenges
Our learning intention was to follow the instruction and to read the question's properly.
Last week we started off with doing challenges that our teacher gave us. This practice was for the testing in the three week. Our first challenge was to read the text and then write a 25 word summarise. We then had our second challenge and that was too read the text and too fill in the blanks in.

Comprehension Skills - Reading
We have been practising using and applying our comprehension skills in online challenges. I have playing a game called Trapped. I have been using the knowledge to understanding the books to move to upper level. Author Purpose means to Inform, Entertain, and Persuade in other words PIE.

Current Events ( Britain votes to leave the EU) - By Jane and Tiare
Here is a Current Events about Britain Leaving the European Union. Next time they can really think and chose wisely about whether or not they are going to leave. I would vote to stay because it is easier, you don't even need a passport but now they will no longer be getting help from countries in the European Union. What is your opinion.

My Recommendation - Jane

Synthesizing
These are the screenshot that we did for reading. In reading we are learning to understand what synthesizing is. It mean to take what we already know and put into a new information. For this activity, we created a cover for a biography of George Washington and Albert Einstein using what we already knew them and what we found out after researching. The new information help is think what their picture would look like, and what the title might be.

Should We Change The Flag

Today in reading, we did something with the whole class. We voted what flag we want to be the official flag. First we went in our thinking group, and made a T chart. We made the Pro's and Con's / Yes Or No. We wrote the possible reasons why do we want and the flag or don't want the new flag. In our group, mostly we wrote down why we don't want a new flag. After a few minutes, we presented we reason why we do or don't want the new flag. We made to vote to want to flag or don't want the flag.
