Sustainability Term 1
What was the theme for Tamaki college?
The Theme was sustainability
What were the topics for the 6 projects?
Protecting culture and identity, Rain Garden, Housing, Parks, Healthy Food, Rubbish & Littering
What was your project and what did you learn?
My Project was Protecting Culture and Identity, I learnt that there's different points of view of should there be language classes or not
What was your favourite part of the unit?
My favourite part was getting the ideas together to complete the task
What did you see at Te Oro yesterday that stood out to you?
The project that stood out for me was the Tamaki Samoan Group performing.

Sustainability Day

Review our sustainability day!  Give lots of examples!

What did you do?
We planted seeds vegetables, learning about maori myths, and what we could do to help in the rain garden.
What did you learn?
We learnt about the rain garden that it needed to be cleaned, and other places that could be built to be a better places for kids to play. We planted seed so we could feel being part of the school.  
How did you feel?
I feel like being the part of the school because we learnt so many things that was based on this school.
What do you want to learn more about?
What to learn more about what are the problems that is going on in the gardens.
I want to make a project that will be creative to do that make student very happy

DigiTech - Brief Development

In digitech, we have been been working on Brief Development in class. I have learnt the sustainability in the tamaki community and whats the happen in that area. We have been learning different attributes and features thats happens in a website. We have also been learning about different ideas to make a website interesting and for the Tamaki Community.

He Korowai Hapori - Raupotaka Marae

Today, 17 / 03 / 2017, 9RMz went to Ruapotaka Marae to listen to Whaea Noleane talk about the situation that is going around the Tamaki Community. We are listening to the story about the back in the days when river was there resources the find and put something there. Promise, Reon, Lana, and I got chosen to hang some little houses on the He Korowai Hapori to understand what the problem in our Community. 

Hauora


Hauroa means the 4 walls that is put up into a marae. The 4 walls represent Taha Tinana - Physical, Taha Hinenagaro - Mental/Emotions, Taha Whanua, and Taha Wairua. If one wall fall then all of the walls falls because they all relay on each other to keep all on them up and standing. 

Fono-Fale


This Term, 9Rmz is mainly focused on the topic Fono-Fale and Hauora. Fono - Fale and Hauora are two houses but are two main things that is important to us. This model was created by Fuimaono Karl-Pulotu Endemann. This was put together because the Fono Fale was mainly focused around the Pacific view and important factors.
